My class thought of issues that are happening in the U.S. and in other nations. The issue that I think are the most important are having a No Place For Hate school. What it means to have a No Place For Hate school is that all of the students like each other and don't bully other kids. All of the students at our school signed a contract that said every one won't bully others anymore. I still see name calling going on which is a way of bullying. I even have friends who name call at ME, too. It really hurts my feelings and if you've ever had somebody name call at you, I think that your feelings will be hurt. Here are 4 ways to stop bullying:
- walk away
- if #1 doesn't work, ask them to stop
- if that doesn't work, stand next to an adult
- if the bullies name keep name calling you even more, tell an adult
Carlo, I agree. Bullying is a serious problem. We need to make sure that kids understand the meaning behind signing the pledge to not hate. We should make sure that actions are taking place, and not just empty promises.
